I cannot say enough good things about the ibotta app! All you do is download the app, choose the items you normally buy and submit your receipt for cash back! I have made over $50 from this app and I usually redeem to my PayPal account. You can also redeem for Starbucks, iTunes, Regal and Venmo. Oh and you get $2 just got signing up and redeeming at least one offer! Might I suggest the 50¢ off for any brand gallon of milk?

I sure love those Just 4 U coupons! I caught a deal for Blue Bunny ice cream yesterday for $1.49 and decided to see if there was any other deals I could take advantage of. I’m on a cottage cheese kick so I picked up more of that. I have zero stock of ketchup and had a $1 J4U coupon so I grabbed the smallest size. I’m a huge Chai Tea fan too, so although I generally don’t want to pay this price, it was on sale and I had a coupon. My milk went bad so I decided to give Silk Amond milk a try.

How I picked up free food this weekend

Free Produce!

I made out well this weekend in the produce department! I have a friend who was not able to maintain his garden this year so there was some extra produce that wasn’t going to be harvested. I grabbed the green onions to cut and re-grow the bulbs in water. There was a volunteer tomato plant and dill growing so I grabbed the dill to dry for my spice cabinet. Chanterelle mushrooms are in season in the area so we went hunting for some. We came out with about 2 pounds worth, which is apparently a small bounty because it’s been so dry. I used a few ounces in my homemade spaghetti sauce recipe and it turned out amazing!

I also have a business owner friend who often gets food gifts for helping out customers. He had a spaghetti squash and some tortillas he let me have since he wouldn’t be using them anytime soon.  I threw the tortillas in the freezer and the spaghetti squash will be made for dinner sometime this week and should go just perfectly with my Chanterelle mushroom spaghetti sauce!

Later Gators!
