Homemade laundry soap

Who wants to save money when there isn’t a coupon deal? Specifically when you’re running low and the dollar store (or $8+ a bottle!) stuff sounds less than appealing. I’m here to tell you that some mom made it sometime and there’s a recipe for everything! Today were talking about homemade laundry soap.

I ran across this blog when I first started budgeting my grocery costs. I bought all my groceries on sale only, shopped where ever was cheapest and got my grocery budget down to $20/week, including cleaning and bathroom supplies.

I ran across this recipe and I wanted to share it with you so you can try it too. This recipe was tweaked a little by my roommate. She wanted some smell to her laundered clothes so she adds a bottle of yummy smelling dollar store laundry soap to the batch. If you’re going a more natural green approach nix this ingredient. We also thought putting it in an old laundry bottle was more convenient than dipping into a 5 gallon bucket.
